I've been at the saws now for fifteen years. Beginning backstage, building sets for Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago to Seattle where I learned all aspects of remodeling homes: From foundation to roof and everything in between. It was in Seattle where my love for woodcraft and dwellings grew. Since old-growth trees were so abundant, many structures were constructed with mammoth, straight fir posts and beams, and beautiful cedar exteriors. There is a subtle, Asian influence in Northwest architecture: minimalist with a dash of eye catching interest in just the right places. Simplicity and understatement are the statement. A home is a home because of the space used inside the walls, above the floor, and below the roof. A chair is a chair because of the space above where you sit, a table is a table because of the dinner placed upon it. My work may be part of your house: A whimsical bookshelf, wood-art on the wall, a vintage-influenced bathroom, a reclaimed wood bed frame, but it is your human connection that make my works complete.
Currently specializing in functional furniture art (tables, chairs, beds, e.g.), bookshelf design and execution, purely aesthetic wall hangings and objects, and the occasional remodel design and build.
